Is there an FRS emergency channel?
Is there an emergency channel that I should call in an emergency to FRS or GMRS? I know it on channel 9 (perhaps rarely) to control the emergency channel CB. Marine VHF Channel 16.
There is no urgency or FRS channel GMRS. There are groups that help to channel emergency call, if this is your best bet. The national group promoting the use of SOS of IAS 1. There was a GMRS frequency …. We "GMRS real" users do not use chains, but the frequencies (You need a license for GMRS) used to have an unofficial name of "675" 462.675 with a pl of 141.3 Hz for such use.
